Decorate your walls with wall plaques

Wall claddings are interior or exterior coverings. They allow you to dress up and transform your home, giving it the style you desire. Imitating stone or brick, they create a warm ambience in your home.

What is wall cladding?

Generally presented in the form of slabs or bricks, cladding comes in many different materials and colors. From industrial to country house to cosy.

A wide range of models to create or redesign the home of your dreams!

Which siding to choose?

You can install wall cladding in any room you like, outside on a wall or even on a fence pillar. Depending on the room in which you wish to install the siding, you simply need to check that it has the characteristics required for its purpose.

If you want to install your cladding outdoors :

On a facade wall or pillar → It must be perfectly watertight and weatherproof (frost, rain, high heat…).

If you want to install your cladding indoors :

Behind a stove or fireplace → It will have to withstand the heat.
In a kitchen or bathroom → It will have to resist humidity and water splashes
In a bedroom, living room or other rooms in the house → There ‘ll be no special features.

Once you’ve decided on the features your siding should have, you can let your imagination run wild when it comes to choosing a model. It is advisable, however, to use siding for decorative purposes and not to overload your rooms.

In terms of materials, wall facings are generally made of reconstituted stone, natural stone, terracotta or plaster.

  • Natural stone can be used for exterior facades as well as interior walls. It is aesthetically pleasing, durable and available in a wide range of shades and textures. However, it’s expensive and heavy, which means it needs to be installed properly.
  • Reconstituted stone perfectly reproduces natural stone or even brick or wood, and is aesthetically pleasing, inexpensive, durable and environmentally friendly. Its composition makes it waterproof, fireproof and frost-resistant, so it can be installed indoors and out. It’s easy to install, and anyone can do it.
  • Terracotta comes in the form of bricks and is available in several shades (brown, gray, red or beige). It can be laid both indoors and outdoors. Installation and finishing are tedious.
  • Plaster is economical and easy to install, yet lightweight and fragile. It imitates many materials, such as brick and stone. It is for interior use only, and cannot be laid in damp rooms such as bathrooms or kitchens.

Your choice of wall cladding is governed by your local town hall’s town planning regulations. Before installing any wall cladding, you’ll need to apply for a preliminary declaration of works or a building permit.
