The WESER Ethics Policy applies not only to all our employees, but also to all those with whom the company is associated, such as customers, suppliers, auditors, consultants and subcontractors, our majority shareholders and our Audit Committee.
Our 7 essential business commitments :
- 1. Compliance with regulations

In all circumstances, WESER France is committed to respecting and ensuring respect for laws and regulations. To this end, WESER has established various policies and rules applicable to all employees, notably the internal regulations, which stipulate the rules governing health, safety and discipline. In case of doubt or need, employees may contact their line manager or the Administrative and Financial Department for further information or advice. WESER is committed to respecting the rules of fair and impartial competition. WESER rejects all unfair competitive and commercial practices, in particular any agreement with competitors on financial terms, or the allocation of markets or customers. Our competitors and customers are free to make their own decisions.
- 2. Respect for people

Fight against discrimination and harassment WESER is committed to respecting human rights and international conventions. Human resources and management are based on the principles of mutual trust and respect, with the aim of treating everyone with respect and fairness. The Group applies an equitable human resources policy that complies with the law. WESER refrains from any form of discrimination. All forms of pressure and other offensive behaviour must be excluded from company decisions, particularly in the recruitment, promotion and training spheres, and in the event of sanctions. All forms of harassment are prohibited and punishable in accordance with applicable national legislation. All employees and outside parties are entitled to respect for their privacy, in particular through the regulations governing computer data and personal data (General Data Protection Regulation RGPD). WESER intends to treat all its Employees with respect and fairness, and to promote equal opportunities in all aspects of employment. WESER does not use any form of forced labor. In compliance with international conventions, it refrains from using child labor.
- 3. Customer relations

Suppliers and other business partners Our business partners will be informed of this Ethical Policy. They, too, will be expected to behave fairly, with integrity and in accordance with the principles described. WESER maintains integrity and fairness with all stakeholders, in particular customers, suppliers and other business partners, in accordance with the ethical principles defined in this policy. Consequently, the Group undertakes to honor its contractual commitments and respect its commercial agreements. WESER rigorously selects its suppliers and service providers according to objective criteria of quality, performance, cost and suitability to needs, without favoritism or discrimination. The Group expects its partners to make an equivalent commitment in terms of business ethics. WESER is committed to providing information that is accurate, transparent and consistent with reality, and to producing financial statements that are regular and sincere, and that meet regulatory and legal requirements. The preparation of these documents must comply with accounting principles. In order to ensure the accuracy of information, only the Finance Department can make declarations and respond to requests for information from banks, investors and other authorities.
- 4. Fighting corruption

WESER is committed to combating acts of corruption, or any other breach of probity. WESER has written an anti-corruption code of conduct to meet the requirements of the French “Sapin II” law of December 9, 2016, and which should be referred to. The purpose of this anti-corruption code is to guide the actions and behavior of Employees on a day-to-day basis with regard to, in particular:
- Gifts and invitations,
- Conflicts of interest,
- Money laundering,
- Partner relations,
- Patronage and sponsorship,
- Fraud.
- 5. Information security

WESER strives to ensure confidentiality in the use of data, information, know-how, intellectual property rights and industrial property rights in the context of its internal activities and the execution of its contracts. All employees are required to keep confidential information relating to WESER, its customers, suppliers and employees, to themselves only. The Group has an IT Charter, which is appended to its internal regulations. The company is careful to ensure that its information systems, i.e. hardware, software, networks and the information they contain, are used solely for legitimate, professional purposes.
- 6. Health & Safety

Ensuring and reinforcing employee safety in the course of their work is an ongoing concern. WESER guarantees its employees appropriate working conditions in terms of health and safety, and employees have a duty to contribute to this by complying with company rules. - 7. Environmental protection

The Group is committed to reducing its environmental footprint by cutting waste production, conserving natural and energy resources and controlling consumption. WESER has drawn up an Environmental Policy to define the actions and objectives to which reference should be made.
