ALVERSTONE A SINGLE PROFILE FOR WALLS AND CORNERS: 50% FASTER INSTALLATION

Publié le 28 January 2025 - PRESS INFORMATION

Since 1966, WESER has been designing, producing and distributing beautification solutions for individual and collective housing. WESER’s reconstituted stone products are divided into 3 areas: exterior design (pillars, wall copings, terrace slabs and pool copings, pavers, borders, balustrades, etc.), facade embellishment (window sills, door and window sills, modenature elements, etc.) and wall cladding (interior and exterior).

With ALVERSTONE, a brand-new seamless wall cladding manufactured in Europe, WESER offers an aesthetic solution that’s quick and easy to install. Thanks to its 3 interlocking and reversible formats, installation time is cut in half. This design enables customized layout and a natural look. Economical and ecological – 100% recyclable – ALVERSTONE is suitable for both exterior and interior applications, in both new-build and renovation projects.

Freeze-proof and fire-resistant (Euroclass A1), ALVERSTONE cladding is available in 5 shades.
With this innovation, WESER once again aims to improve installation time and make daily life easier for its end customers, masons, landscapers and contractors of all trades.

ALVERSTONE, an innovative cladding design without corner plates

WESER’s R&D team works to continuously improve existing product ranges and adapt them to customer demands and market trends.
The new challenge was to find a single cladding format to do away with corner formats, thereby simplifying supply management for installers and significantly optimizing cutting time and waste. As a result of this research, ALVERSTONE’s distinctive feature is a worked edge identical to the surface of the board, with the same nature, shade and relief, enabling a two-in-one profile: wall and corner.

What’s more, the innovation lies in its ingenious format. In fact, ALVERSTONE wall cladding is made up of 3 different formats, each with a different stone design, reversible (no top, no bottom, no right, no left) to multiply layout combinations and provide a more nuanced, aesthetic and extremely natural look. Each piece can be interlocked to create perfect angles and guide the installer. This is the concept of rapid “Z-laying” by interlocking, as opposed to conventional linear laying (like brick facing).

Last but not least, since ALVERSTONE wall cladding requires no joints, site delivery is all the faster (around 40 minutes saved / m2).

In short, thanks to its optimized interlocking installation, easy corner management and jointless dry-stone design, ALVERSTONE installation time is reduced by at least 50% compared with other claddings in the range, for a complete installation time of around 1 hour/m2.

For successful installation, all you need to do is align the parts horizontally.

The cladding can be installed directly on any type of sound substrate (brick, concrete, any masonry surface, wood, gypsum board, wood or metal panels and even thermal insulation panels…), respecting the substrate preparation recommendations in each configuration, offering an almost universal range of covering possibilities.

It is installed by double gluing (substrate and insert) with C2S1EXT mortar.

And to guide professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike, a calculator available on weser.fr lets you quickly work out the quantity of cladding and adhesive required for your project.

ALVERSTONE, healthy and 100% recyclable

ALVERSTONE cladding is made from natural aggregates and raw materials, making the product 100% recyclable and infinitely processable. As part of its Extended Producer Responsibility policy for Building and Construction Products and Materials, WESER is helping to increase the recycling rate of end-of-life products, and pays particular attention to the recyclability of its ranges.
In addition, the cold manufacturing process, which does not release CO2 through combustion, is environmentally friendly.

Last but not least, ALVERSTONE cladding is classified A+, certifying its very low VOC emissions inside the home. Labelling of products for interior decoration A+.

ALVERSTONE, economical, resistant and durable

WESER wanted to offer an economical solution with a recommended retail price of €50 per m2 (excluding installation).

To avoid maintenance and guarantee durability (50 years), we recommend covering the wall cladding with WESER-PRO TRA protector (or a water repellent or mineralizing agent). This preserves its original appearance, limits the growth of micro-organisms and reduces the encrustation of dirt, making surfaces easier to clean.

Fireproof and fire-resistant (Euroclass A1), ALVERSTONE cladding can also be installed behind a wood-burning stove or around a chimney (the distance between the stove and the wall must be 3 times the diameter of the flue pipe).

ALVERSTONE, an aesthetic solution that brings the charm of stone inside and out

Wall cladding has become a must-have, both indoors and out, to embellish and personalize spaces. They can be adapted to all building styles and all rooms in the home, to create a natural, modern or more traditional ambience. Wall cladding is a simple, ecological and economical solution for transforming a house or fence and rediscovering the authenticity of stone.

ALVERSTONE cladding guarantees the rendering and uniqueness of mineral. With its authentic “natural stone” look and invisible joints, it adds a new dimension to any room or exterior, whether new or renovated (covering old-fashioned walls, renovating an entrance, mixing different materials…).

ALVERSTONE is available in 5 shades, from the timeless Beige and Gris Nuancés to the rustic Gris Terre or Marron and the contemporary Gris Anthracite, which can be combined as a single shade or mixed to suit any ambience.

ALVERSTONE adapts both indoors and outdoors
